This is stuff that I have accumulated over the years, some of which I am now happy to part with. Please feel free to have a rummage.
Many years ago the company ‘Philips Service’ used to have local branches for the servicing of Philips radio/TV products. They traded through a company called CES, which is an abbreviation of ‘Combined Electronics Services’ (Ltd.) The Newcastle branch of this outfit had a clearout in the early seventies of resistors & capacitors and I bought the lot! There were 10’s of thousands of these including many thousands of 1% metal film resistors, and although I hung on to a large number of these for my own use, I hawked the rest of them to Bruce Aitken, who had an electronics shop in Newcastle. Over the years, I have slowly used some of these components, but still have many left – far more than I will ever use – hence this sale.

A CES Capacitors Label from the 70's
WIMA Capacitors
These Wima capacitors date from the early 1970s. The value is printed in either black or red, and covered in a semi-transparent yellow colour epoxy. I’ve checked a random selection of what’s on offer on my LCR meter and the capacitors are well within spec. In the photographs below, each capacitor is shown next to the inches scale on a ruler, so as to indicate the actual size of the component.
